ABOUT THE ARTIST
My name is Chloe Purpero Johnson, however, some people call me CoCo. I am currently living in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, enjoying a quiet and simple life. I grew up in Europe which certainly planted seeds of love for the arts. Living in Florence, Italy propelled me into a world of art and creativity and color. I am drawn to simplicity and lines. I find myself using simple and minimalistic imagery. I enjoy giving little information to the viewer, but just enough for them to understand it. Where the forms I draw are simple, the colors I choose are vivacious and spirited. I love warm and bright colors. I can’t get away from them, trust me, I’ve tried. I am inspired by botanical imagery, the human figure, textiles, women, and the way people express themselves through the garments they wear!
